Harvey’s Towing recently participated in a Charity Golf Day event where they raised money for the Logan Hospital Fund. With a large turnout and over $26,000 raised, the day was a massive success and a huge display of generosity from all.
Held under clear skies, the event brought together members of the local community, industry partners, and supporters. Each were united by a shared goal: Give back to their local hospital that has touched so many of their lives.
Organiser Tye Gray had the following to say.
“We had 30 teams take part, totalling 120 players, plus around 20 organisers and volunteers, making 140 people involved in the day overall.
“The golf event was a great success for Harvey’s Towing and a proud moment for us, being our very first charity golf day. It was a fantastic day with lots of energy and community spirit."
The motivation behind the event came from the Harvey’s Towing community’s connection with the Logan Hospital Maternity and Paediatric Services.
“Logan Hospital, especially the Maternity and Paediatric departments, have provided outstanding care to my family and many of our team members, so this was our way of giving back," Tye explained.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed food, games, golfing, and raffles, but the biggest highlights of the day was the amount raised.
“The generosity from everyone involved was incredible. We were thrilled to raise $26,102.45 to support such an important cause," Tye said.
These funds raised will benefit midwives, nurses, and families by providing essential resources and improved care for newborns, young children and mothers in the Logan area. This kind of support is vital in ensuring healthcare workers can continue to deliver outstanding care in a growing community.
Perhaps the most exciting news to come from the day is that this successful event is just the beginning of the support Harvey’s Towing hope to provide the Hospital through the Logan Hospital Fund.
“We plan to make this an annual Charity Golf Day and grow it each year," Tye confirmed.
The team at Harvey’s Towing has not only raised vital funds but also laid the foundation for a lasting legacy of support for the Logan Hospital and the wider community.
