Meet Ellen Dann, community partnerships manager

09 Apr 2026
Ellen Dann is the community partnerships manager for Logan Hospital Fund, helping to build a culture of gratitude toward the incredible staff of Logan Hospital.

How long have you worked as the Community Partnerships Manager for Logan Hospital Fund?

I’ve been the community partnerships manager for over two years now, since October 2023 but I’ve been working with the Logan Hospital Fund since 2022.

What does your role entail?

The primary focus of my role is to build relationships within the hospital community, and to help bridge the gap between those patients or their loved ones that want to show their gratitude for the amazing care they or their loved ones received from their local hospital. This can take many forms, from taking a donation and making sure the staff member, team or department knows it was made in their honour to organising fundraising events.

What do you love most about your job?

My favourite part is the building of relationships and connections within the community, from the amazing hospital staff to the generous donors that I get to work with. I feel incredibly privileged that I get to pass on the messages of gratitude from patients and their families to the teams that took such great care of them.

What have you found to be most interesting about the Logan Hospital community?

I love the sense of community here. Even though this hospital is within a major city in one of the biggest states in the country, it feels like a country hospital where everyone knows each other and cares deeply about their local hospital.

What is your main message for the Logan community?

If you want to support your local hospital or want to show your gratitude to a team member or department, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

What is your main message for the staff of Logan Hospital

We are here to support you – there would be no Logan Hospital Fund without the work that you do. Whether it’s looking for funding for some equipment or patient care program or if you aren’t sure how to have that conversation with a patient or their family who want to support your team after the care they’ve received, please get in touch!

You can catch Ellen at Logan Hospital on the first and third Wednesdays of each month between 8.30am and 10.30am or flick her an email via thankyou@loganhospitalfund.org.au
